From the people that brought you Agents & Merchants and Racket comes a brand new bar in Britomart called 1885.
1885 is a truly international bar experience in the heart of Auckland city, set inside the historic Stanbeth building. The interior features restored brick, exposed kauri beams and luxurious leather couches, while the bar itself boasts an extensive wine cellar, exquisite beers and spirits, and a cocktail list to rival the best in the world.
The grand opening is Saturday 4 September - featuring Hollie Smith & Tyson Smith along with a host of live performers in the 1885 Public Bar and the 1885 Basement – an exclusive subterranean cocktail lounge hidden away within the main venue.
$10 tickets are available through the i-Ticket Express website here.
Limited door sales will be available on the night, but we advise pre-purchasing your ticket to avoid disappointment.

Northern Steamship Sound Lounge…feat Eli
Eli playing that baby making music this Thursday night.
A lot of people have commented that my fondness of Eli is similar to the movie “single white female”. That’s preposterous I’m not Jennifer Jason Leigh. Duh!!
Friday 9th July
Rose Alice
Rose Alice, by all accounts, is the nicest DJ we’ve had the pleasure of playing here. Not only does she play the funkiest of funkiest tracks, she will even give you a knowing nod and a pat on the head when you request the new Miley Cyrus song. And when she does play it for me I’m gonna giggle like a little girl.
Saturday 30th July

DJ Calloy
DJ Calloy making it reign this Saturday evening.
I’m very excited about the tune selection. I have yet to meet DJ Calloy and am hoping to make a good impression. So to be on the safe side, this Saturday night, I am wearing my lucky MC Hammer pants and my Team Jacob t-shirt. Because the last thing I want to do is look like an idiot
